February 2 is our Chinese New Year everybody in my hometown will get together to celebrate this wonderful traditional holiday. On the contrary, students like me who study abroad are still work hard on study. That's why we feel a little upset during these days. But some of my friends had a good idea that we have a party together in the evening at Friday night to celebrate the holiday by ourselves. I totally agreed with this idea and took part in it.
Because dumpling is the most traditional food for us when we celebrate this festival, we determined to make it by ourselves to make a feeling of at home. First with made the all the materials like meat, vegetables, and the covers of it ready to use. Then girls sat together to make the dumplings. It is not an easy work to do. What's more, because the girls didn't learn it before. So a lot of dumplings with different shapes come out. It was so funny because you can never thought dumplings would look like that. But it didn't influence the taste. Everyone think the taste is really good. I made two dishes when they deal with those funny dumplings. Both of them are highly praised by my friends and made me very happy.
After dinner, we decided to play some games together to make the night more meaningful. So we the "killer" games and cards games. Everyone seemed so energetic and happy that night so we keep on playing until next morning.
This is really a good party for all of us. It is the first time that we celebrate this traditional festival here. Also we made all them by ourselves which shows our growing up. In the future we will do much more and I think we can do all these things better and better
